30 Weeks

The countdown has begun- 10 weeks until my due date! I am very thankful to be done with work in 8 weeks-- being on my feet all day and dealing with challenging teenagers is becoming more and more exhausting!

I had a WONDERFUL time at my first baby shower in OC last weekend, hosted by Allie and Steph. I was spoiled by all of my girlfriends and their moms! SO MUCH FUN :)

29 weeks

My mom and I with my new Uppa stroller!

The girls!

Jeremy and I are feeling the clock ticking and are definitely in "baby mode" i.e. on an organizing and cleaning rampage! The crown molding and chair rail in the nursery have been installed and painted. It looks great! Our mattress arrives this week and now we are attempting to find room for all of our new baby gear.

We went on our hospital tour of the maternity ward today at Marin General-- beautiful hospital with all large, private rooms. It looks like it will be perfect.

For some reason my food aversion is back in my third trimester-- very strange. So I'm back to eating grilled cheese sandwiches and apples when nothing else sounds good. Very annoying to my hungry husband. On the good side, it means he can eat red meat whenever he wants! :)

I had my 30 week appointment last week. All is well. Dr. Voss told me that I am measuring exactly average. Besides the upper back pain that hits late in the afternoon, I'm cruising right along. I'll start meeting with some of the other doctors in the next few visits since the chance of Dr. Voss delivering me if I go into labor is 1 out of 7. If I need to be induced, I will definitely have her. My weight gain is up to 16 lbs. and she's warned me that number may double in the next 10 weeks as the baby only weighs 3 lbs right now!

30 weeks

Sleeping through the night is long gone. I'm lucky if I get 3-4 straight hours. I guess this is supposed to prepare me for my future sleepless nights with a newborn?!

Enjoy your weekend and Happy Valentines Day!
